About Dave

Dave Seabury grew up in Berkeley, as the local rock and roll scene was exploding, and stumbled into photography starting at age 13.

His first photos sprung from Berkeley’s Provo Park, where many of the Bay Area’s top bands performed free concerts. Subsequent years led Dave and his camera to many of the Bay Area’s legendary music venues and cultural hotspots, capturing iconic images of  The Grateful Dead, Santana, Led Zeppelin, The Clash, Sex Pistols, and many others.

Deeply immersed in many facets of the Bay Area music scene and counterculture since the late 1960s, Dave has been playing in bands, creating and collecting art, and photographing all manner of things for most of his life.
