Happy Birthday Jerry 🌹❤️

Today, August 1, 2024 Jerry Garcia would have been 82 years old. On August 9, 1995 Jerry Garcia left this mortal coil at age 53.

The week between these two days became known as “The Days Between” sometime after Garcia’s death. It has become a time to celebrate the music this man created.  

Whether with the Grateful Dead or his numerous solo projects over the years, one thing is for certain; Deadheads - and it doesn’t matter if you got on the bus in 1966 or 2024 or anywhere in between - have been touched by the music of Jerry.  

We are all lucky that we are alive when this music is still around to fill our souls. The Grateful Dead has been a part of my life now for 48 years.  I have been fortunate enough to document that journey with a camera.  

Ricki and I have also been fortunate enough to work with other amazing photographers who documented this pop culture adventure that is unparalleled.
